Join me each week for a free 30-45 minute online class where we explore cities and countries around the world and get creative! With each class, we will virtually travel to a new location, learn some details that we may or may not have known, and push our imagination to see things through a creative lens. We will be drawing, painting, collaging, journaling, and even explore photography.
Class Schedule: Fall 2020
This Week’s Class: Friday, Nov. 27
I can’t believe it is already late November, and Thanksgiving (in the US) is here. What a long, challenging year it’s been, yet I am so thankful I have been able to spend many art sessions with you!
With full bellies from our feast the day before, in class we will have fun drawing food. It is one of my favorite themes to draw, my guess is because food has such a great meaning in our lives, not only for sustenance of course, but also I think food truly binds us together – family, friends and even strangers!
So, take some pictures of your Thanksgiving table for inspiration, and I look forward to drawing a delicious feast together.
This week we will use a black pen to draw all our food items and our watercolor to paint it in.
watercolor paper, water brush (or paint brush), watercolor, black pen, white gel pen (optional).

Each week we will use different media to get creative, but we will stick with basic materials so all can join in. Here are the supplies we may use:
- black pen (waterproof is best, like Micron pens)
- colored pencils
- watercolors (with water brush or regular paint brush, your choice)
- acrylic paints and/or gouache
- various papers – from regular printer paper, to thicker card stock. Watercolor paper or paper that can hold a wet media (like Bristol paper) will also be handy
- journal (if you want to do your art in a journal, that is great too!)
